Farm machinery in Germany – without idealization

In Germany, I visited the farm of Thinus Glitz, a farmer who combines crop production with pig feeding. During the visit, we not only saw how the automated pig farm works, but also took a look at the machinery park of his farm.

This video shows the real machines that work in the field every day: tractors, seeders, sprayers, harrows and cultivators.

An interesting fact: Tinas has 4 tractors, all from different manufacturers. Claas, Fendt, JCB and John Deere. Why is that?

“I don’t get attached to brands. I look at what is profitable today. If there is a better solution tomorrow, I will take it.”

For him, the main thing is not the color of the tractor, but the economy of the equipment and its efficiency on the farm.

It is also interesting to note that Tinas has been gradually changing his approach to farming for several years now, taking the first steps towards No-till.
