The conference on regenerative agriculture in Slovakia is over!

It was a very productive day, full of interesting meetings and exchange of ideas. The conversation with Jan Szymor, whose farm I visited last year, was particularly valuable. This time, Jan shared the results of his experiment where he sowed wheat together with peas. The result was a yield of 8.2 tons per hectare, which is a whole ton more than in the control plot!

There was no shortage of discussions and important debates at the conference. Experts and practitioners focused on the development of regenerative agriculture in Slovakia.

A lot of useful information was provided by Steve Townsend, who spoke about the development of conservation agriculture in England.

In my report “Regenerative Farming Practice in Ukraine”, I shared our experience: I talked about the history and reasons for changes in the farming system, key principles for improving soil health, practical cases of implementation, and prospects for the development of regenerative methods in our country.

I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to agronomist Semen Lysytskyi, who was my interpreter during my speech. This is not the first time we have worked together, and his professionalism, as always, was at the highest level.

This conference once again reminded us that farmers around the world are united by a common goal – to preserve our land for future generations.
