Recently, I had the opportunity to visit two farms that are true pioneers in the application of No-Till technology in the far west of our country:
AGROosnova Farm in Lviv region
and BAUER Plus Farm in Volyn region.
The experience of these farms shows that no-till farming can be not only efficient but also very successful, especially in conditions of sufficient moisture.
This experience is also interesting because both farms focus not only on soil conservation but also on intensive work to improve its fertility. By visiting the No-Tiller channel, you will be able to watch 16 videos that we shot during this trip to get to know the practices of these innovative farms.
However, the most important result of this trip was the birth of the idea to organize two small exclusive events in the Field Practice format on the basis of these farms:
- At the beginning of summer – a study of growing soybeans and sugar beets using No-Till technology in Volyn.
- At the end of the summer, we will get acquainted with the experience of growing cover crops without tillage in Lviv region.
