Under Vitalii’s leadership, this 800-hectare farm has become a real testing ground for no-till farming. Grains, industrial and legumes are grown here, but the main highlight is the active use of cover crops – after harvesting cash crops, they occupy almost 50% of the land.
BAYER-plus Farm has completely abandoned any tillage, even on a crop such as sugar beet, where other farmers traditionally use deep plowing. Instead, they use organic fertilizers and various mixtures of cover crops. Thanks to this, the farm demonstrates amazing results – the yield of sugar beet without tillage exceeds 80 t/ha, and soybeans – 5 t/ha!
Vitalii Rudchenko is a tireless researcher and experimenter in no-till agriculture. Now his hard work is focused on stabilizing the high yields of crops grown using no-till technology. After all, the main mission is to prove that regenerative farming can not only preserve but also significantly improve soil quality.
On June 14, the Field Day of Regenerative Agriculture will be held at Bauer-Plus.
Vitaliy Rudchenko will personally share his experience of applying regenerative practices. This is a great opportunity to get inspired by a true pioneer of the regenerative movement!
